"Capturing the essence of the subject, whether it be figurative or abstract, in a lively style using tone, colour and the effects of light. Music and movement, together with a passion for animals and the natural world, are key sources of inspiration"

"Joker"

Horses feature a great deal in her art work and perhaps unsurprisingly Carrie is a keen rider herself. She has owned Joker, a black and white cob since he was 3 years old and has competed in in-hand and ridden showing at county and national level, having qualified for the Ponies UK Championships, Coloured Horse & Pony Society National Show and also the British Show Hack, Cob & Riding Horse Association National Championship Show on a  number of occasions. Now 25 years young Joker is enjoying semi-retirement at Moreton Equestrian Centre, Dorset where Carrie can often be found sketching at events.
